The focus is on enjoyment
The delicious Korean dishes play a central role in the design – as a visual invitation to try them. It was therefore important to depict them in an appetizing way in the packaging design.
We used AI to design the food visuals as modern top shots—this not only saved the startup a lot of time and money on a complex food shoot, but also looks really delicious!

Incidentally, the name “Arang” comes from the first Korean restaurant in northern Germany, which the founder's parents opened in Hamburg in 1975—this family history is now being continued.
Here is another example of AI-supported packaging design.

If you want to open up new worlds of taste, you have to present them in an emotional way
Arang brings authentic Korean cuisine to Germany – with soups and sauces that are genuine “Seoul food”: natural, quick to prepare, and completely free of additives. However, Korean food is still uncharted territory for many people in this country.
Our task was therefore to design the packaging for the product range in such a way that it not only looks authentically Korean, but also makes people want to try it. Based on a strategy workshop including a tasting session, we developed the creative briefing as a first step.
The eye is drawn to the banderole, which is color-coded. The logo is prominently integrated into the sleeve. This creates space that has been used prominently for the important food visual.
Product names, color codes, and subclaims make it clear what's inside—even for those new to Korean food. “Taste of Korea” is placed above the logo to emphasize the heritage.
