In order to transfer the expertise of epicite – the brand for medical wound healing products – to the aesthetic dermatology market, we developed the sub-brand epicite CALM.
The aim was to combine medical expertise and the highest quality standards with a modern, clear design language – and thus establish a new standard in professional aftercare for aesthetic treatments.

A thorough market analysis, in which we examined medical and cosmetic design codes, formed the basis for the brand strategy and visual appearance. Building on this, we developed a clear brand architecture under the umbrella brand epicite and created epicite CALM, an independent, clearly positioned sub-brand.
epicite CALM is the world's first MDR-certified bio-cellulose mask for professional aftercare following aesthetic treatments. It offers optimal wound healing after laser, light and energy-based treatments as well as surgical procedures – setting a new standard in medical aesthetics.

Brand architecture and logo development
The epicite CALM logo was developed as part of an overarching umbrella brand strategy. To this end, we designed a consistent brand architecture for epicite, into which all sub-brands were integrated typographically – with the aim of creating recognisability while enabling individual design languages.
As the first sub-brand, epicite CALM marks the start of a new visual system that reflects the high quality standards of the epicite umbrella brand in terms of medical quality for wound care and aesthetics. The relaunch of further sub-brands is already in the planning stage.

A holistic design development: from strategy to exhibition stand
The visual identity combines medical precision with modern aesthetics: white as the primary colour stands for purity and medical quality, while a deliberately used shade of red signals the application on sensitive, reddened skin. The clear, minimalist branding conveys professionalism and high-end standards.
After designing the logo and packaging, we transferred the brand world into high-quality 3D mock-ups, an eye-catching exhibition stand, website and matching advertising materials and social media assets.
